With spring gradually winning over winter, we are all eagerly anticipating getting back to playing bowls on our beautiful grounds once again. We are expecting to begin bowls play by early May this year, depending on the weather and the condition of the greens.  

Once we get started we will see the usual weekly time slots for social (drop-in) bowls and some evening leagues. We are also planning a number of day-long tournaments over the course of the summer. Our club is also hosting a few provincial and national tournaments this season, and we are getting requests for school and corporate groups to play our sport for fun, learning and team building. 

All of these activities can involve you as players and as volunteers. Some early dates to put in your calendars: 

  • April 27 – spring cleanup, Annual General Meeting and Membership Registration 
  • May 6 – social and league bowls play tentatively scheduled to begin (weather and greens permitting).
  • May 11 – Open House – invite friends, neighbours, family
